I would argue that Christian music isn’t a genre. I’d say a genre is a style of music (like pop, metal, reggae, country, techno, etc.), and that Christian music is a different classification other than “genre.” Because there is Christian music in almost every genre — so Christian music can’t really be its own genre, y’know? It’s definitely a classification of music — just not a genre. Much like secular music isn’t really a genre either.
